Where Their Hard Work Comes to Life
There is nothing quite like watching your dancer step onto the stage with confidence and joy. Every class, every correction, and every milestone leads to these unforgettable moments where dedication blossoms into artistry.
At Ballet Academy of Silicon Valley, we proudly celebrate our dancers through two professional-quality productions each season. Conservatory Track dancers perform in our annual Nutcracker and Spring Storybook Ballet, and Foundations dancers are invited to perform in our Spring Storybook Ballet. Together, these performances create lasting memories, celebrate each dancer's progress, and inspire a lifelong love of the performing arts.
Nutcracker Performances
Our performances will be December 11 at 6pm & December 12 at 2pm. Both will be held at the Gavilan College Theater located at 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd in Gilroy.
Casting
Dancers will only be cast if they have submitted the Nutcracker participation form by the deadline, October 2. Active dancers will have received the link to this form via email. If you have not received this email, please reach out to us at dance@balletsv.com ASAP.
All dancers will be cast in at least 1 or more roles. The cast list will be announced by October 11.
Family Requirements/Obligations
The family is responsible to have dancers at all rehearsals and performances. Additionally, it is required that all participating families volunteer for small jobs that help with the production, ex: ticket takers, dressing room assistance, childcare for the pre-ballet & primary classes, backstage prop handlers, advertising, etc. Our volunteers are a very important part of putting together our show!
Additional Fees
For Foundations Program dancers, there is a $190 performance fee that includes one costume rental. Any additional costumes will be $55 each. For Conservatory Program dancers, the performance and costume rental fees are included in your regular tuition.
All dancers will need to buy a nude leotard, tights, and shoes for the performance, use their own makeup, and have proper hair pins, nets, and spray.
Rehearsals
Rehearsal time will vary depending on the role(s) the dancer is cast in. Regular rehearsals will be on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Some rehearsals will take place during regular class time. For younger dancers, all rehearsals outside of show week will be during their regular class time.
Dancers who are absent for Saturday rehearsals without prior discussion may be subject to a $35 fine per absence. Dancers who miss two or more rehearsals will be at risk of being re-casted.
Note: During the last two weeks prior to the show, there will be a special rehearsal schedule. The Final Rehearsal Week is from November 30-December 5, and Tech Week will be from December 7-12. All dancers must be available during these weeks, no exceptions. Dancers missing these crucial final rehearsals may be subject to a $40 fine for Rehearsal Week or $50 fine for Tech Week per absence.
Our Performance Hub for The Nutcracker 2026 will be available once casting is out. Check back soon for more!
