COVID-19 Protocols

 
 

Due to the 2019-2020 Outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), BASV is taking precautions to include health history review of students and staff.  We have enhanced our sanitation/disinfection procedures in accordance with the most recent guidance and protocols issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and California Department of Health Services for slowing the spread of COVID-19. Please take the time to read through and familiarize yourself with the new COVID-19 protocols. This page will continue to be updated as more news is released and county & state regulations shift.

Please discuss these guidelines with your dancers.  This will be a different experience for everyone, but we are striving in every way possible to make this positive and successful.

Our studio guidelines will be following recommendations and mandates for school age children. It is our first priority to keep everyone healthy and safe!  Here is what we are doing to ensure the safety of our dancers and families when we return to the studio:

  • Sanitizing all areas of the studio

  • Posting CDC/County/State COVID-19 protocol signs

  • Offering virtual classes when applicable

Guidelines for our Families

  • Masking is optional but highly encouraged.

  • We are happy to announce our lobby is now open for drop off and pick up. Please be mindful of the capacity of students and families as we transition between classes.

  • Lobby is open for limited viewing. We are asking that you be mindful of all families wishing to view, and are limiting the lobby to 8 adults at this time.

  • There will be NO food allowed in the studio at any time. Only water is permitted.

  • Families should conduct a simple health screen with their dancers prior to bringing them to class. If they are running a fever or have any COVID-like symptoms, please let us know and do not bring them to class. If your child is sick, please do not bring them to the studio.

  • Live virtual classes will be available for any families not comfortable coming back to in-person class at this time.

Drop-Off/Pick-Up Process

  • Dancers are to sanitize on their way into the studio and when they leave.

  • Please be sure to sign in when entering the studio.

  • Dancers may put their personal items into a cubby and get ready for class.

Please be sure to be on time for drop-off and pick-up: No more than 10 minutes early to class or 10 minutes after class. 

Drop-In & Make-Up Classes

Due to health and safety measures, we must alter our drop-in and make-up class policies for this time. If you would like to drop-in or make up a class you missed, you must schedule with us ahead of time. Please email or call the studio to schedule when you would like to attend. If your dancer is ill the day of class, please notify us. If your dancer is absent, you must notify us prior to class in order to qualify for a make-up lesson.
